Would earthworms help aerate the soil for a potted plant?

I can't see why they wouldn't... But I highly doubt you will be able to keep the worms alive in there for very long as they need food and such. You may be better off adding a bit of extra perlite in my opinion.

im currenty maintaining a worm farm. bout to haul it out to the site and use it for my soil to transplant 4 babies who are about to out grow their pots. anyone tried or heard of such a thing?(first post)

Might as well try it.....wouldnt hurt anything I dont think. But as the Doc. pointed out they might die..... but seeing as how your a worm farmer you should know how to keep them alive.

i wouldnt call my self a worm farmer but it doesnt take alot to keep them alive. Used coffee grounds a few egg shells and news paper shreding kept a 12 gal tote full kickin for three months now. believe they're multiplying in fact. not to mention the average feild soil now looks rich.

haha well then try it out. I just said you were a worm farmer cuz you said you were maintaining a place that is farming worms.

yeah you just gotta keep them fed, I lost a lot of my worms because I didn't feed them for a while.
