Legalistically, you don't have the papers for their state, beign in their state without papers, with illegal substance, that would be against their law.
First key if it were me is to tell the cop your are travelling and ask him for his identifications. all 3.
Once he knows your federal property he can legally kill you without a problem, but until he sees your drivers license or birth certificate he does not know that he has the right to police you. :/
