I have never heard or saw such a problem or had any such problems with root tangling or whatever. I have however grown many plots with 3 plant in one cluster like yours and have never had any problems. You can separate them if you like, they are young enough that transplanting should only stunt them for a week or so. The trick to growing clusters like you have is to start tieing them to the sides once big enough so the center of the cluster will get good sun. Just throwing you some ideas of what has worked for me in the past.

Ohh, 1 more thing. Your grow area looks like my old grow spot. And animals were a real pain with my crop. Raccoons and skunks would dig some of them up looking for grubs in fresh soil, leaving them dead. The deer would munch off the leaves and top my crop every couple weeks. So invest in some kind of barrier, chicken or bunny fences works wonders. The spot you picked is also probly a watering hole and bedding area for deer or whatever kind of critters are in your parts.

Yea we went back to our spot and saw some of our soil dug up so we think were gonna buy 5 gallons pots transfer it in there and then bring it to a new better more secure spot.
also in the works there are plans for me to bring one plant inside and set up a grow station with a light in my closet so we will see if that goes down.

nice, i hope everything turns out good for you, i had major cotastrophy with the location i planted in. 200 seedlings drowned out by a weeks worth of storms we had here. All that time spent planting and rowing 2 miles down creek in a canoe, sucks.
R.I.P to what could have been...

Ok so a change of plans im moving outdoors to indoors. I bought a 600 watt HPS System with a Metal Halide Conversion Bulb for vegging and i am ordering a DR80 Grow room this weekend.
For now i have them under 5 regular bulbs ranging from 90 to 100 watts each.

id be worried about alot of things, how tall they are going to be since you started them outside they are already pretty tall, and stress from bringing them in from outside. how old are they?

Need more light. Stretching a lot. I had mine on a window sill and after I moved them to a sunny spot in the garden have been noticing a lot more leaf growth in the last few days.
