I don't believe that she was swearing and being uncooperative but even if she was being 'violent' she's too old to be a threat, so there was obviously no need use a taser. Even a woman in her 20s is not a threat to a grown man. This is pathetic.

What is even more pathetic is how we all let this happen

Actually it isn't just texas. I've been reading about this kind of stuff happening all over the united states for years on the shroomery.
Old people in the united states aren't shown mercy by a lot of the cops in the usa. I've read of old people being beaten, shot to death and abused in other ways, and it's rarely in texas.

There's one example. Most of the ones I read about on the shroomery weren't in texas, but it doesn't matter which state it happens more often in, the point is it happens a lot in the united states. It isn't a problem for one particular state and I know a lot of people like to jump on the hating texas bandwagon but it's mostly the cops that are the problem. Cops are given too much power and rarely punished sufficiently for their crimes.

I'd like to have faith in humanity and think that they are just simple people trying to do their jobs, but sadly most of the time isn't the case.

People over react all the time, this guy from a town a lot of my friends are from got tazed two or three years ago and got killed by it. Cops are crooked as hell here in Kansas too, the main reason for my general dislike of authority figures, all the ones I have seen generally are found to be corrupt. I mean its one thing to have a precinct in a big city to be corrupt, its another to have an entire town/county's to be corrupt.
I don't remember what he was doing to get tazed, I think he was just being approached in a hostile fashion for chilling on a corner.
