Since we got a couple of days before (hopefully) anything interesting happens, I guess I'll show you guys a couple pics of my grow room.

Here's my grow room

Da Nutes!

My veg lights. A 125 watt CFL and a 25 watt flouro

My BFG 1,000 watt HPS light

My seeds hanging out in a germination station

A script and storyboards I'm working on for a movie

Day 8

They're starting to pop like they got the blood lust. I simply cannot believe the progress they've made in one day. Switching to a more suitable climate was such a money decision. I learned from mushroom growing that looking at your grow all the time can only hurt it and frustrate you but I do take a look ever couple of hours or so. It's unbelievable that every time I look at them, they've made noticeable progress. Just in the time between my earlier post and this time, one plant that I was worried about because of it being bent over at a dead looking angle has shot up like Superman and a third sprout has appeared. By the way, these rapid rooters are a big fucking win. My seeds seem to be really responding to them and they're really easy to use and work with. I'm not sure how to water them or keep them moist, I'm going to research it right after this post. However, my plants look really happy right now so I don't want to fuck with them. I know over-watering is a hardcore n00b mistake and as evidence with the first page of this post, I've already made a lot and I'd like to steer clear of as many more as I can. The one thing that surprised me today was the temp swing when putting a 125 watt fluoro directly above my plants (I'd always heard you can place CFLs inches away from the plants without a temp swing, but that's not my experience. The plastic box my plants are in right now probably has something to do with it and I'll keep track of this as this goes along but just wanted to note it here.) The temp swung up as much as 15 degrees into the high 90s which really concerned me. I rearranged my grow space and placed a fan on the lights to keep the temp in an optimal range but that's something to keep in mind in the future.

What my germination station looks like right now with the two fluoros on it.

WOW!!! Look at the progress in 15 hours! I'm telling you man, these plants got the blood lust. I'll definitely transplant them into some small pots with soil tomorrow but so far these rapid rooters are the big fucking win.

I know you all do this every day and it's mundane for you but man I'm creating life in my closet, it's amazing to me

I'm getting a little concerned as the leaves on my plants have been drooping. Some more than others.

This one is really bad

I don't know if it's something I shouldn't worry about or if it's a problem. I haven't watered the plants since dunking the rapid rooters in water and only now just misted thinking they may be thirsty (they popped up early yesterday and I haven't watered them) I also this may think it's because of my low humidity (always around 40%)

Should I be concerned?

But man they're growing like crazy, they're growing so fast that I'm actually a little concerned that they're going to be pushing against the plastic top on my germination station when I wake up in the morning. I can't wait to transplant these babies in the morning. I'm going to go with a 20% coco coir, 10% perlite, and 70% seedling start mix to avoid water problems and hopefully keep these babies maintaining their blood lust.

Watered for the first time today until there was run off from each cup. Plants are looking healthy and happy.

Day Eight Veg

I readjusted the lights and the plants seem to explode in terms of maturity growth in a matter of hours. It was amazing last night as I smoked a couple of bowls every once in awhile and when I come back in I would notice obvious growth and more resilient take no prisoners attitude from the plants. I think they were stretching earlier and I was mistaking that for progress. Oh well though, the plants look happy as hell.

I need to remember to water them tomorrow. Right now I'm misting three times a day and watering until I get run about 10% run off every other day with PH balanced water and a couple drops of Superthrive. I figure with the Coco Coir in the soil mix and my n00bness, this is the best system for ensuring I don't fuck something up. The plants seem happy so I'm going to wait for them to tell me I want some water. I'm pretty sure it'll be in the morning.

With the new placement of lights I've had some real temp issues which has been annoying. I've switched a 20/4 light schedule a couple days ahead of time than what I was planning to avoid the warmest parts of the day. I was planning to veg for two weeks under 24/0 and then switching to 20/4. No worries though. I placed a small fan next to my plants pointing up at the light which also seems to be helping. My temp range is now around 79-85. I freak the fuck out every time it goes over 85. Today while adjusting lights and fans, I felt like I was the Captain in Das Boot staring at my temp gauge knowing certain doom was coming. But it's all good now.

With everything considered it's been surprisingly easy so far. Like they say an ounce of preparation is worth a pound of cure. I really think it was wise to invest the time in researching temps, humidity issues, soils, and lighting schedules.

I don't have an enclosed enviroment and I have to think any benefit from co2 would be minimized. Also the cheap way for co2 from what I've read is rotting fruit in a 2 liter bottle with some water and sugar. I don't know if I'm willing to deal with the smell of that. I'm willing to take a reduced yield just to get these plants all the way through. I do appreciate the advice though and please fill me in if I'm wrong. I did research for about a half hour last night on your suggestion and found that it didn't really work for me.

Day 11 (I think?)

I'm going to get some more lights soon for my plants. They look healthy and happy but I'm starting to get somewhat paranoid that they're growing a little slow. It's all good though I'm not complaining as they look ridiculously happy right now and don't seem to be having any problems. It's been ridiculous chill the last two weeks having these plants growing in my room. It's been cool looking over at them every once in awhile and watching them slowly grow up. I like this hobby a lot. I also have amended my watering routine. I water every other day until I get run off and then on the off-days I like to spray with a spray bottle to keep the surface moist. I just want my plants to have the best environment and life that I can give them and I constantly worry about whether they're getting too much water or not enough. I also have to say that my soil mix has been a big fucking  as this has been rather effortless so far.

Day 14

This plant...

I named Neda... This is my favorite plant and seems to be maturing and growing faster than the other. However today while watering my plants, I accidently dropped Neda. However the plant just looked at me like "What motherfucker? What?" and aside from being a little bent and losing some soil, the plant is one hearty bad ass. I've been concerned about her, but she seemed to be just fine. I won't fuck up like that again.

Uh...?

Strange brownish almost bruise looking marks and white specks on the plant I dropped yesterday. I'm not seeing the same strange markings on any of the other plants which makes me think this is a result of my dropping the plant yesterday :frown: Plant is still growing and maturing at an amazing rate though so I'm going to get too worried.

The white stuff is crystally looking. I can't see any pests but then again I'm not really sure what I'm looking for. However, I don't see any bugs or anything moving around the plants. For the last few hours I've been perplexed as to how a invasion could happen. Then I remembered the plant I accidently dropped lost about a quarter of it's soil. In a panic I ran out to the greenhouse to get some more soil mix which was left out in a open container for the last two weeks. Now I'm not sure if I'm invested yet but I'm just going to say that it would make sense if I am. I'm really fucking pissed off about this because this has been my biggest fear all along. I'm not going to panic until I get professional opinion though.

They're wilting at an incredible rate and seem smaller and less alive today. I think they've bought the farm. I'll give it a few more days and see what you all think... but I think I've failed again
