My First Grow Now Indoors!!! Need Tips, Tricks, and Advice: **New Pics 6/25/09**
    #232245 - 05/26/09 01:46 PM (15 years, 8 months ago)

Ok so me and my friend are starting a outdoor grow. He had about 60 seeds saved up over the past year, so we decided to put them to good use.

A while back He had all rdy tried to grow a seed or two first by germinating it in a paper towel then transplanting in a cup with some soil off the ground. By just feeding it water it grew and sprouted and formed a couple leaves. Eventually he couldnt take care of it cause it was by his house so it died.

Now were trying again to do a legit outdoor grow (i know its late) i have been reading up on this website for information about growing for the past couple days.

I just came back home from scouting out a spot with my friend and we found a great one deep in the woods with a whole over it where sunlight beams down next to a nice stream. Perfect Spot. We planted 3 seeds (that we started germinating the night before) just in some mossy dirt. We then watered the spot and left

Now our next step is to germinate the rest of the seeds untill we see roots then proceed to put them in some soil and care for them untill we see them sprout and form a couple leaves then transplant them to our spot.

Now i have a few questions

When i transplant them i know im going to need to dig a whole and pour some organic soil recipe in with the plant. Ive seen so many recipes on this site i dont know which one to try or were to get any of the stuff i need like worm castings or fish emulsion its all very confusing.

The same goes for plant food when it starts to vegitate and then flower.

Plz help me send ur tips and tricks and recipes my way! Thanks
Pictures of the spot with be up soon

Ok update! 6/1/09

So far we have a total of 5 seeds that sprouted between two pots the orange pot has 3 plants and the green pot has 2. Meanwhile in the white pot one just sprouted today but is showing no leaves.

Also we have dug out our spot to grow in the woods today and planted 10 germinated seeds over there. We mixed some of the dirt with our ocean forest oil and then watered them.

I have some questions tho

The weather has been really nice and sunny this week so the plants are getting direct sunlight all day but what im worried about is that the nights are kinda nippy is that a problem for the plant or can they suck it up and deal.

And also are the plants in the pot too close to each other do i have to  transplant them.

Ok New update and pics 6/8/09

Ok im realy not sure what im going to do these plants they are t0o bunched together im not sure how im gonna transplant them without killing some of them. Anyone got any ideas? or should i just leave the strongest one alive out of the 3 in each pot and sacrifice the rest.

In Other news i got two new seeds of a unknown strain but there deff high grade there germinating right now.

Why are my plants stems bent over like that anybody know?

You shouldn't kill them by transplanting the at that stage. Looks like enough soil between them to keep the roots covered. Just be quick to eliminate air exposure time. Have your pots or holes ready to go then carefully with a large table spoon cut the soil around each sprout. Most likely it will stunt the growth for a few days but hopefully no real harm done.

But honestly, I think i would just leave them in like that. Grow 3 in a cluster, it has been fine in the past for me. Just keep the clusters spread apart a good distance, because they can become huge looking bushes! When big enough i have tied the plants off to the side to give each plant in the cluster optimum sun in da middle.

Ok cool if i dont have to serperate them i wont i just hear diffrent things some people tell me its gonna cause the roots to tangle and mess up the plants if you leave them in a cluster but some people say its fine

Yea we went back to our spot and saw some of our soil dug up so we think were gonna buy 5 gallons pots transfer it in there and then bring it to a new better more secure spot.

also in the works there are plans for me to bring one plant inside and set up a grow station with a light in my closet so we will see if that goes down.

Ok so a change of plans im moving outdoors to indoors. I bought a 600 watt HPS System with a Metal Halide Conversion Bulb for vegging and i am ordering a DR80 Grow room this weekend.

For now i have them under 5 regular bulbs ranging from 90 to 100 watts each.
