 i think my neighbors are growing too

every time im outside in the middle of the night for a cig, their central AC is running. so tonight i go look at their power meter, since all the ones for my building (condos) are right outside my front door. i've got 1200w of lights on + 140w fan + 80w fan + 2x 40w water pumps (total of 1500w running right now). their meter is spinning hella faster than mine. idk what the main spinning dial (flat one that you see the edge of only) is worth but theirs was doing a full spin in 6 seconds.  discuss.

hhmm what would you do, tell them that you used there ip to find them on a forum site so you could talk to em... that wouldnt look very sketchy at all...... lol

naw i just would sleep better at night. and if they were a member i'd be curious to see what they're running and maybe post on their grow thread that they shouldnt run their central a/c all night because it looks sketchy haha

I assumed people ran their cooling more at night since the heat is more unbearable at night... I mean I can lay in bed all day and not sweat at all, then night comes and I sweat my ass off. Although I don't have Central heating or cooling... or any cooling at all.

well for example last night, it was 65* F outside, at 1:30am, and i went out to have a cigarette and their central AC was running.

could have just been the fan and not the actual A/C. If its cool outside I will just run the fan all night and leave the A/C off

and if it wasnt the actual AC, even more reason for me to be curious. their meter was spinning like 3x as fast as mine when i had 1500w+ of shit running in the house.

If the ac was running, central air sucks up rediculous amounts of electricity. Generally in the thousands of watts. That alone could make his meter spin dramatically more than yours. Start yours up and and go back out and check it when the compressor is running.
