Hello everyone...i need some suggestions about my soil recipe...I am limited to certain ingredients and would like to know a good ballpark range of %ingredients to make a good soil mix for my first indoor MJ
Ingredients available Vermiculite Perlite Worm Castings Black Kow compost blood meal bone meal tons of miracle grow brand potting soil
also...I want to be able to set this up so that i only have to water every week or so...would it be possible to add either more vermiculite to the mix or maybe add some of those water crystals to the soil to hold a reserve of extra water without drowning the plant or causing rot? I also have access to fox farm brand liquid ferts...
any help or suggestions would be awesome as i need to get this rolling by 2morrow at the latest...

Fuck Miracle Grow, make a soil-less mixture. Mine is 2 bricks coir, 1.5cubft perlite, 1.5 verm, and 3.0 cubft spaghum peatmoss and then add bone meal, fish emulsion, blood meal, and whatever potassium only fert you can find. Add the nut/supplements by whatever the box says but only put the potassium based nute in the soil at the bottom of the pot. This drains well but holds water and is totally organic.

ok so i used a couple of different recipes to get mine started....let me know if you see any problems
For a 5 gallon batch of dry soil: 1.75 gallons Sphagnum Peat Moss 1.75 gallons Perlite .75 gallons of 50/50 Worm Castings/Black Kow 5 Tbsp Blood Meal 10 Tbsp Bone Meal
now as i put this into my pot i added 2 scoops of the long lasting water polymers to the bottom 3/4 of the soil...and then added regular soil to the top 1/4 I transplanted yesterday and watered in well and the seedling seems to really like it so far...there was no drooping or signs of shock...but ill try and keep you guys updated on its progress here in a week and a half or so. Peace

That looks like a great recipe dude, You will definately have good drainage and moisture retention with all of that. I wish I had that much to work with this year.... damn money
