So today I was checking my e-mail, and the title was "friendly reminder your building is non-smoking. Which would be fine except that she never told me that when we moved in here and also I just got done reading through the lease agreement and never in the agreement does it say anything about their smoking policey. I called her and asked and she got all pissed off at me and told me I could just move out if I wanted to....maybe I should.

This is a reminder that per the terms of your lease, you live in a "Non-Smoking" building. This means you may not smoke in your individual apartments at any time. Smoking is also prohibited in the common areas; hallways, stairways, etc...

lol yea but she totally singled my girlfriend and I out...cuz usually when I get an e-mail it lists who else she sends it to. But it was only my e-mail adress this time lol.

You sound like your at school/college. In that case, I think it was totally appropriate. Smoking indoors is fucking disgusting. I've seen walls so saturated from Tobacco smoke, that when you took a picture off the wall, therer would be a perfect white squrare of the original wall color, and a dark yellow color to the rest of the exposed walls.

Yea im in college but I dont smoke that much.....only every once in a while. Although I do enjoy a good ciggarette. The point I was making is that if she did not state in the lease agreement that I could not smoke in the apartment then technically I can, and the fact that she sent me an e-mail telling me I cant pisses me off. I wouldnt have signed the lease if I would have known that.

my landlord lives on my floor just down the hallway.
my direct neighbor whom i share a vestibule with, and the other guy directly adjacent them, and i all have our 215's and the last guy down smokes blunts all day long
so the hallway always reeks of weed and blunts
but the manager doesnt give a shit
she prolly blazes too lol
and she's kinda cute, i'd love to 
but yea that was something i looked for in the lease, and it was the most basic lease i have ever seen. no gay stipulations whatsoever

ya some buddies are tryin to get me to move in with them next year and i'm like no
i have a studio with a parking spot, close to campus, no roommates, and chill neighbors/management. plus the rent is the cheapest i've found in the area.
so they want me to go from that to living with 3 other guys having to share 2 bedrooms and still end up paying only 200 less per month than i do now.
what am i sposed to do if i bring a girl back and some fag roommate ends up cblockin me? 
not to mention the whole me wanting to smoke weed freely and be naked and side projects and shit
no thank you ill stay here

Living on your own is the shit. I am saving money now while my roommate is here but he moves out in November and we have a nice 2 bedroom place about 1.4 miles from campus. Love it here
Im making them put all new appliances in before I sign the next lease. Our appliances are from the 80'
Im looking forward to having an entire extra bedroom for my side projects
