Soil Growers: 1. Are you growing from seed or clones? seeds. 2. How old are your plants? 28 days old. 3. How tall are your plants? One of them is about 1 foot and the others are about 6 inches. 4. What size containers are they planted in? 3 of them are in 1 gallon buckets and the other 8 are in the ground. 5. What is your soil mix? 1 plant is in just topsoil, 1 of them is in topsoil and dirt and the others are in just dirt. 6. How often do you water and what type of water do you use? I use tap water and i water them when the soil starts to dry out and when it rains. 7. What is the pH of your water? IDK. 8. What kind of fertilizer do you use and what is its NPK ratio? I dont use fertilizer. 9. Do you foliar feed or spray your plants with anything? I spray them with water. 10. What kind of lights do you use and how many watts combined? (HPS, MH, fluorescent, halogen, incandescent "plant lights")Sunlight. 11. How close are your lights to the plants? IDK. 12. What size is your grow space in square feet? outside 13. What is the temperature and humidity in your grow space? central texas weather. 14. What is the pH of the soil? IDK. 15. Have you noticed any insect activity in your grow space? snails and i think spider mites. 16. How much experience do you have growing? My first grow. My plants are being eaten by spider mites. 3 of them are in pots and the other 8 are in the ground. Does anyone have any suggestions on any organic materials that i can use to get rid of the bugs.

While not truly organic, nicotine water has proven to be an effective general pesticide. Neem oil is organic I believe and will do the same thing. You could also try a dish of beer or copper wire to keep the slugs and snails out.
Spider mites are hard to combat but outdoors you have an advantage, you can use natural predators. Go to any large garden center and ask for some ladybugs, they will tear those mites apart. Once the mites are gone, the ladybugs will migrate away.

Im having the same problem with mites outdoors, was about to start a new thread but I found this. Thanks for that penguin I'll get some lady bugs
