P.S I majored in botany/horticulture and currently work for one of the worlds leading agricultural firms. The Dark period is when the simple sugars are formed from photosynthesis but this can happen in the cell with light, calling it the dark period is kinda confusing cause it doesnt need to be dark it just doesnt require light.
