I take it you are using CFL bulbs?  Where did you get the yellow ones at?

I am interested in doing something simular.

I got everything except the case fan at Lowes (not all in one trip, of course). The yellow bulbs are the soft white 2700k bulbs, I just got the cheapest brand and they're working really well. It was less than $10 for a six-pack of them, if I remember right.

On the note of internode length, I had a cfl grow that had about 100,000 lumens covering a enclosed 2x2ft space, I had about 1mm between each internode and since I grew the plants 3ft tall, I got one thick 3ft nug. Well I had four because I grew four plants but none the less they were donkey dicks.

How did you manage to fit so many CFL bulbs into such a small space? My 23w bulbs are only at about 1,700 lumens a piece.

But I'm starting to think my nutrient deficiency may in fact be nute burn seeing as the big feeding I gave them the other day resulted in yellowing bottom leaves on all three plants. I'm planning on flushing them with water to try and reverse the burning.

My friend works at a sports stadium and he gave me this extra lamp. It is like a industrial cfl and had a equiv. to a 1000w MH at least from his info. The boxes had some crazy shit on them that I couldn't trace but I did see a 100,000 lumen guarantee stamp on the box.

Haven't checked it yet, but I'm starting to assume that is a major problem. I definitely nute burned them too, though. Flushed out the burn, I think, but the pH is going to have to be taken care of.

But all three of them got LST'd yesterday as I noticed they were only about an inch from the light bulb. It's been about 18 hours since tying them over and the tops are already pointing back towards the light.

Well, just got done cutting down the last one as I went 3/3 on males. Germing 4 more bagseeds as we speak. I'm also planning on building a cabinet to leave in the garage for a new grow box as the rubbermaid box just isn't cutting it. I'm glad I started with the rubbermaid box, though, as it really showed me what works and what doesn't work; a good learning experience, if you want to call it that.

Here's hoping for some girls this time!

The new cabinet is almost finished, just painting it today. Made the cabinet a little bigger than I needed (2x4x4ft), so I split it into half and the other side is going to be some much needed storage. That leaves me with 16cf of grow area! My only real worry is ventilation as I plan on getting some carbon filtration and I don't think my 50cfm 120mm case fan is going to have the power to clean air AND keep my temps down. On the temperature note, I'm going to be doubling the number of CFLs I'm running to 12 for 276watts at ~19,000 lumens. Do you think my little case fan has the power to vent and filter all that? I'm hesitant to upgrade fans as I've already gone over my budget for the project and this case fan is virtually silent, which is perfect considering I'm going to be sleeping about 8 feet from this thing.

But I started germing 4 more seeds, 2 of which have already been planted and are showing their first sets of leaves while the other two are still in a damp paper towel. I'm not expecting those two to do anything at this point, as they've been in the towel for 4 days now. So, I'm hoping I do better on the M/F ratio this time as I'm now out of seeds and only got two sprouts. The two sprouts are chilling in their rubbermaid tub  on 24/0 light. If I end up with a female, I'm going to turn her into a mama plant. I'd like to turn this into a staggered harvest type situation, but we'll see how things go before I start worrying about that.

Pics soon!

A computer fan won't be able to push much, if any, air through a filter. You need a different type of fan that can handle high static pressure. For that size cab you will probably want to go with a small squirrel cage blower (100-200cfm) like those make by dayton. If you want to keep it relatively quiet, a fan speed controller will be required as most of these fans are pretty loud.

That's what I was worried. Oh well, better to do it right then half-ass it I suppose.

With a fan speed controller, about how much quieter would a ~200cfm fan run at %50 speed? Unfortunately, noise level is pretty dang important. My goal is to keep it under 40db and I noticed the rated level on a ~200cfm fan is right about 50db. Would throttling down a 50db fan put me right about on target?

No, we're going with the "if you can't survive on 32cf of air for 12 weeks, you don't deserve to live" grow theory.

Seriously though, it's still a work in progress. Like you said, I have to make vent holes, finish caulking, design my light setup/fixture, get this beast into the house (I probably should have went easier on the 2x4 framing for the box as thing must weigh a solid 200lbs).

The sproutlings are doing well; their 3rd set of leaves is just starting to show. I don't think these bagseed are from the same strain as the last seeds as these guys are much darker, almost purple, actually.

So everything is just about setup; everything is moved in, my new light fixture is done, vent holes are drilled. All I need to do now is finish light proofing the area.

I'm up to 9 23w CFL's for a total of ~14,400 lumens. Seedlings are running into some PH problems again, but I think I've taken care of it. Our tap water is turning out to be the problem so I picked up some distilled water so we don't have that problem anymore. Definitely have two different strains of bagseed this time; one is just like the last 3 while the other is much purpler and compact.

Pics soon.

It is a nute overload, thats some major nitrogen burn. Flush those babies hard as hell and wait to add more nute till they brighten up. Also cut off any dead leaf material.

Can't be burn, I haven't fed them yet (at all) and their soil isn't nute enriched (as far as I know). The soil actually got flushed thursday, also, when I was checking my PH. I'm going to feed the lighter colored one tonight (finally payday!) and see how it responds before the healthier one gets anything.

I did, actually, at the very end of my last update. But I finally got the AC unit out for the year and my temps are down from 85 to about 80 thanks to the cooler room temperature.

The backyard garden took a hit this weekend as I evidently wasn't thorough enough in my watering Friday as when I got back in town Sunday night, my strawberry plants were pretty crispy. Thankfully I got back in time as they're perking back up today, but they looked pretty bad last night!

I actually just replaced that fan with a 4" version of the same brand as we needed the big one for the house airflow. But thanks for the tips, it's sucking learning things the hard way, haha.

A direct constant breeze isn't necissarily the best.  However, if you have a fan that moves from side to side it's fine for the plants to get constant intermittant breezes.

As for tap water, it all depends where you live.  Some cities use chloramines, some use chlorine.  Some have hard water, some soft.  If you live in the middle of a big city, yeah your water probably isn't that great.  Otherwise, tap water may be just fine.

The kiddos are starting to perk back up big time after their feeding the day before yesterday: instead of a yellowish droopiness, they're picking back up and aiming towards the light again. Much happier!

I hurt my strawberries more than I thought I had; I figured the leaves would just regreen and keep on going but they're still brown and crispy. Luckily their new shoots are just blowing up in growth off the main stem! The new grape shoot is doing great too. A bird managed to take the top off of the main shoot, but the other stalks are picking up as a result. It's probably another month or so before I'm going to have to start it on it's trellis.

I think I light burned/bleached the already mangled plant; their is a weird silvery area on a couple leaves so I lowered both plants an inch or so. I didn't think they were close enough to bleach at ~1.5", but I guess I got proven wrong again!

I had the same problem as you I have to use tap and straight from the tap its 7.2 but when I bubble it, it spikes to 8.3 big swing.
I don't have any ph down atm but started using vinegar and the plants responded right after that first ph adjusted watering.
I did screw up and tried to correct the ph thing in one go instead of a slow ph change down so the older growth suffered a bit.
It is a bitch learning the hard way but I immagine its not a lesson you'll soon  forget!
Keep it going looks like you'll have some dank soon enough.

Yeah, I just went and got myself a couple gallons of distilled water to avoid the PH problem altogether; and they're only like $0.58 a gallon so you can't really go wrong. But experience is such a better teacher than anything you could ever read or watch so even if I manage to kill these plants, I'm just happy I learned a few good lessons. Also, your NL girls are looking mighty fine, I have to say.

But I was stopped by a nursery around town and noticed they had a sale on their soil so I picked up some Fox Farm Ocean Forest for the clones (whenever the plants are ready to get cloned, that is). I've heard some people don't have to feed their plants for a good month with it so I'm hoping it's going to be a bit more forgiving of my inexperience. I also used a mix of 25% Ocean Forest to 75% cheapo potting mix for my Dahlias, so that should kick them off well.

At any rate, I forgot to turn on the AC this morning when I went to go run around and when I came back, my thermometer hanging out at about soil level was showing ~95 degrees! I can't even imagine what it was at the top of the box about two feet up. It's back down to about 80 with the AC on, thankfully. I just moved into the desert from a coastal climate and the extremes are catching me by surprise still: we hit -3 degrees this winter and it's into the 90s every day now.

I would love to use distilled water but for some reason
here they don't sell it at the stores don't know if its
lack of demand or shipping costs but its quite odd cause
in the states its fucking everywhere.  Here they have
stuff called still water that has like 250 ppm's and
its all sodium and bicarbonate and I don't think my
plants would benefit cause the tap measures at like  45
on the tds.
95 is bad and not optimal but hell I've seen plants
out in 105 temps that came out fine def. not what you
want but they'll survive.
I remember the days of air conditioners one summer I
just stopped growing till fall cause the electricity
bill was to much and still had temps in the 90's
those Cali heatwaves suck not mention all powere outages.
Well keep us posted

Looks like a combo deal there heat stress, ph issue leading to nute lock out.
Did you add a bit of lime to the soil? I always have lime on deck now just a bit of prevention ya know.
Also with the added space from transplanting you should start seeing better growth!

I thought they would be pretty rootbound when I transplanted them, but to my surprise, they both still had quite a bit of room to grow. At any rate, the extra soil used to fill the extra space around the rootball is muuuuuuuuuch better so I'm hoping they're going to take off when they hit it.

If I had any seeds or clones or anything available, I'd kill the heat burnt one and start over as it's looking terrible. Don't have any leeway there, so I'm holding on to it until I can sex it. The other guy has pretty well stopped growing vertically and is bushing out like crazy. It's probably about a week or so before some clones should be ready for the taking, I'm hoping.

I've been watching my pH like a hawk after the damage it did before and it just keeps getting better; it's at about 6.2 now. I was under the impression that 6.0 to about 6.5 was good for a soil mix, is that about right?

What's lime in the soil mix do?

ph for soil is ideal between 6.5-7.0.....and dolomite lime is a good source of calcium and magnesium and helps prevent the soil from becoming acidic....

Repetitive feeding in soil usualy drags the ph with it making it more acidic, lime just neutralises it through out the grow.

Vertical growth has pretty well stopped for both plants as they're both just bushing out like crazy. I had thought that the roots hitting that new fox farm soil would be enough food for a bit, but I gave them a 1/4 strength feeding with their last water and they've grown a good half inch in the last 18 hours. The one that looks like shit is popping out some pretty huge fan leaves for it's size and condition that are dark dark green (well, minus the spot where I burnt them with light/heat). I tried to FIM the crappy looking one last week as it wasn't bushing out as much as the other but it looks like it was more of a FIM of a FIM, so to say. The new leaf set is kind of mangled, but still surprisingly healthy looking. At any rate, the bushing out is still kicking into overdrive so the desired outcome was reached!

Anyways, I'll throw some pics up later.

I think I confirmed it as bleaching/burn with a plant diagnosis thread on the icmag forum. Looks just like this bleached fellow:

At any rate, good thing I pulled out 6 of my cfls due to temperature problems as it looks like those extra 6 were causing even more problems than I thought.

But I have to say that I really thought I knew what I was doing when I started these last two grows only to have my lack of experience come back to shit in my face, so to speak. My first grow was with an old roommate and I guess I took for granted that along with their serious equipment (2 600w HPS and a 400w MH in about a 8x8ft area), they probably had years of experience to pick up all the little nuances I completely missed. Experience is a hell of a teacher though. You guys too, this forum is so full of great info, I don't think my little beat up kiddos would even be alive without the info I picked up here. Cheers!

Funny story there! So the cable guy had to stop by the other day to figure out why our cable signal was fluctuating so badly. I got paranoid as shit and moved everything in the grow box back into the rubbermaid tubs and hid them behind some boxes in a closet. Turns out the problem was that a splitter fried at the telephone pole so he didn't really have to do anything in the house. When I set everything back up, I noticed my fan was blowing about twice as hard as it was before for some reason. I have no clue why; I mean, it's on a speed controller for case fans and it's been at full power the whole time, nothing changed. Maybe when I had to smack it pretty hard to get it back into it's bracket? At any rate, temps are back down to 80 so I'm pretty happy about that.

I'm waiting for those lovely soon to be clones to grow out a bit more and then I'm going to cut the shit out of them. I just hope I didn't abuse them into turning all male again!

I think so, the plant on the left is more purple than green. The newer vegetation is nice and green, but after a week or so it darkens right up. That plant is also more of a indica leaning mix than the other plant, so I'm assuming that has something to do with it as well.

Anyone still following this thing?

I am. Looking good. I feel your pain about company causing problems. Thats my only constant problem, as i have people over all the time that dont know what I'm doing under the stairs. Hopefully all is well, and the one is just trying to give you a scare. Time will always tell though.

Didn't manage to snap any pictures before the lights went off this morning, but the damaged plant is starting to look like a hermi. One of it's newer branches is showing a few little pistil looking things while the other branches are starting to look like they have balls. Still too early to tell sex for sure, but the plant looks so bad from the tub damage that even if it does end up female, the yield would be pretty low. I'd like to make some seeds seeing as how I used up my whole stock already, but I'm not sure if using pollen from a possibly hermi'd male would be wise. Would I be better off reveg'ing after harvest and then cloning or running a seed crop?

At any rate, good to know this has a following, I was starting to wonder if this was turning into a personal diary; not that's necessarily a bad thing. Makes me more inclined to update, anyway.

Integra: Thanks! It sucked too as it was my parents stopping by for my 21st birthday. What am I going to say, "No, don't come visit me?" Didn't really matter as they didn't even end up in the same room as the grow area, but better safe than sorry, I suppose. I just hope my grow turns out half as nice as yours!

Buddy: Not sure exactly what you mean. I've changed my lighting setup since the rubbermaid tub, if that's what you're asking. I'm using ~6 cool white 23w CFLs with ~2 13w daylight CFLs. That's all aproximate as I switch them out depending on temperature and for equal light distribution.

Inverted: For sure! Pistils are starting to come flying out of the girl like crazy, it's so nice to watch

Helmet & Ojom: Thanks for the comments, I'll try and keep you all updated!

No, thought you might have changed to a HPS or something for flowering. I hear CFL's give dissapointing results if used during the flowering period, they did for me in May anyway. Was happy to get anything from my first grow, but ended up with like half an ounce. From 6 months growing!

I've heard mixed reviews on CFL'S.  Next time your in Barnes and Noble you should take a look at

"Marijuana BUDS for LESS" Grow 8 oz. of bud for less then $100
By SeeMoreBuds.

I've been following that guide and have done good so far... although I'm only on Day 11 of 75.

Anyway I have 3 42watt CFL'S that are kept 2-3 inches at all times, which reduces stretching. The Light Cycle now is 24/0 around day 16 or when there are 4 fully developed leaves I'll switch the cycle to 12/12.

This grow is pretty close to those parameters.. Hope to see your results.

lol... the 3 light bulbs at walmart cost $10 each and the reflectors cost $6 each.  I already had the MGMC from my Martha set-up (which started to pin today  ) .  But the book cost me more then anything $16.95

They grow up so fast:sad:

You seem to be getting good results from CFLs. Suppose the different spectrum bulbs helps? I'm looking into getting some sort of HPS on ebay if I can find one cheaply. Provided Stinky survive's the field.

Lookin very good.

PS. They lost that discolouration from earlier too. I thought they looked kind of cool, prob healthier now though.

They grow up surprisingly fast! I've been pretty impressed with CFLs so far; I mean, it's not going to produce the same results as a HID lamp, but for a $50 investment from Lowes, they're kicking ass!

Wouldn't a 100W metal Halide be unsuitable for Flowering? I mean it's got predominantly blue spectrum light. Your Flourescents would provide better spectrum. And 100W HID would only provide around 4000 lumen. Coupled with the wrong spectrum...

Yes that is for vegging, but they also sell the same light as an hps version that is actually a 150w that you can use for flowering. Which is definitely better than a cfl(s)

Agreed, I think the 150W HPS would be a good investment for a small enough grow, looking into trying to get one second hand myself at the mo.Dammit I wish I lived in the states. Anywhere selling hydroponics or lights for growing here are a complete rip off. I wish they'd open a few wall marts over here. We've got starbucks.

Absolutely, I've been looking into a 150w HPS security light or something they sell at many the ranch stores. I was worried about heat, which is one reason I chose CFLs, but at this wattage, the CFL heat is probably more than a low wattage HID. For vegging though, my setup right now is pretty much where I want it.

I've been using the crazy desert temperature fluctuations to my advantage, however. In the day it's been about 90 for the last week but at night it drops down to a nice 40ish. My light schedule is set for off at 8am, on at 8pm. In a week or three when the plants have forgotten about their previous light cycle irregularities, I'm going to move it up an or hour so to 9ish as 8am is usually before I'm out of bed, leaving me only an hour or so each day where I can actually go see it.

Hmm, thinking they both went hermi on me. Noticed the continuously mangled one shot pistils out of the tops of the shoots and they're some ballish looking things below. Going to wait until they're a tiny bit bigger to make sure they're not calyx's with no pistils yet. The other plant has a few balls on the side closest to the vent holes, so I think I might have a light leak or the stress is catching up to them. Plucked all the balls off and hoping they stay away. At any rate, when they wake up tonight, I'll take some pictures and try and REALLY light proof the vents.

What kind of results would I get if I used a hermi to pollinate another hermi? Would it be better to let the hermi pollinate itself? What results would I get out of the seeds; 50% female, 50% hermi?

I'm really hoping they're just calyx that haven't shot their pistils out, but with the stress I've put them through, who knows.

you know. that's a good question audz. i don't deal with males. i kill them. or seperate them off. i have no intentions of making seed laced buds, my stuff is barely on par as the moment as it is(i need a good nute bundle, and a good working cheap[except the airstones... NEVER buy the cheap ones] DWC bucket setup.

Well, everything is cheap, including the air stones if your making a dwc bucket, except if your gona spend money on anything, get a good air pump. If that fails, and it goes unnoticed, your plants will drown very quickly.

that looks like the beginning of a female pistol without the hairs coming out it yet.

the male things, in all the grows iv'e done males don't look like balls. the girls look like a tear shaped. and the males... i guess it kinda looks like they're growing balls. but they're ALOT smaller, don't seem solid either.

I can't believe these pics were taken a month ago. What kind of nutes are you using Audz? Are you gonna flush for a few weeks before harvest? And are you gonna let the trichomes go foggy or harvest a little early? Great grow :bow2:

Shultz generic 10-15-10 plant food. It's a little hard to measure due to the high concentration, but the plants seem to like it. I think I'm going to pull them a bit early because I like the heady rush more than the couchlock. Is there much of a difference in yield from early to amber?

Thanks! The paperclips are actually proving to be a lot more practical than expected. I mean, pipe cleaners would probably be a bit easier, but paperclips are great, especially when used heavily, at holding branches right where you want them to be.

I'm still surprised by the lack of smell thus far. There's a definite green smell when the door gets opened, but it just smells like plant, not so much like that conspicuous pot smell. All we have in the room for odor control is a plugin air freshener thing.

Me's after reading something interesting in a Pro-canna newspaper I picked up in the headshop. According to this article warm white flourescents provide more usable light in the red spectrum, where as the most of the light produced by HPS bulbs is in the yellow/orange spectrum. I don't know how true this is, but I'm gonna check it out.

The buds, the main two in particular, are starting to swell up. They're already crystally as hell, so I'm really excited at this point. There's some yellowing going on, though, with some red spots in the interior of the leaves. I'm confused by it, though, as the same feeding strength I gave the big plant burnt the living hell out the mangled one. The symptoms I'm seeing look more like a deficiency than a burn, but that doesn't seem possible. Anyways, I'll throw some pics up soon.

Thanks for the kind words! I wish the mangled plant had some buds to look at, but that burn it took over last weekend has nearly killed the stupid thing. I'm not really sure what to do with the dang thing as it's not going to produce more than 3 or 4 grams of not so good stuff if I let it keep going. I want to reveg the kiddo and let it grow back out, but I don't really have anywhere to put it. I've also thought about just killing the damn thing as it's responded negatively to damn near everything. That's not so much an option, though, as I have no seeds whatsoever and it would be nice to have something else going when I reveg out the other girl after harvest.

I've also been thinking it may just be the time to invest in some real genetics, probably autoflowering at that. I feel I actually know enough about growing now that I can not kill everything I touch (ignoring the stupid mangled plant). I just don't really have an address I feel comfortable shipping to. Well, I do, but the other half doesn't, if you catch my drift. I'm hoping harvest will change their opinions, but at any rate, I think it's time. My goal is to get ahold of some auto AK47xBlueberry genes and LST a couple of them at a time, ScrOG style.

But yeah, glad you guys are as excited as I am!

Today is day 34 from 12/12, if I remember correctly. They're looking like they're over the hump at this point. I'm thinking they'll be done around day 60 or so, judging by current pace. It's just shocking how frosty they are already.

Pulled a seed out of the last bowl of a quarter we were warned may have seeds in it, but had yet to find any. The color had a greenish tint to it, so I don't think it was quite done developing, but it didn't squish between my fingers, so it's been soaking for the last 12 hours. Sure hope it germinates, the stuff it came out of is niiiiiiiiice.

Nah, no samples yet. The buds are just kind of hanging out at the moment, nice and frosty but not quite swelling out too much. If I had to guess, I'd say they're going to be ready around day 65 (late august?). The mangled one on the other hand, I'd be lucky to get 4g out of it, the way it's looking. She is just going to hang out for the next month and then get reveg'd.

But as for my outdoor garden, I'd just transplanted a bunch of tomato starts I got for $0.25 each into bigger pots and some cocksucking deer came and mangled most of them the first night in their new pots. Bastards already got all of my strawberries earlier this season. Makes me want to barbwire my fence...

Yeah. My outdoor grow went a bit disasterously also. Nature just can't be trusted.

I'd been thinking about just dumping the mangled girl outside in a corner or something to let it start the reveg process while the other girl finished up, but I know a deer would get her. It never ceases to amaze me how they can clear a 6ft fence like it's easy. They ruin everything.

Mangled girl has begun the reveg process. Luckily, our garage has a skylight and I'm using that to my advantage

The light cycle outside is 11.5/12.5 so if you are putting her outside or under sunlight inside; then it will not reveg. but instead will just finish flowering.  Sorry to break the news man...but at least you'll get more off of her under the sun!  You would need a cycle more like 14/10 at least to get her to reveg.

When I read Audz's last post I imagined he was gonna use the sun when it was there, then use lights when the sun went down. Would be especially easy with a sky light. Well it'd be as easy as it'd be hard to get enough direct sunlight with a skylight. If you get me.

Well, it is just using the sunlight, but the day is something like 15/11 right now here, so that should be good. At any rate, it's just waiting for the other girl to finish and then it's going back in the box.

Nope, just bagseed. Went camping for the long weekend, got back noticed the non-mangled girl was in some serious need of some food. I think this is the last feeding she's going to get before the flush as about half of the pistils are turning orange. Unfortunately, I lost a couple fan leaves over the weekend, specifically the ones that would have been most useful in the reveg. So, we'll see how that goes when we get there.

At any rate, she's coming right along.

The swelling is taking off! I didn't really notice too much until I looked at the last pics I posted and went "holy shit!" The moral of this story being that I can't believe I haven't uploaded any pics in two weeks, will fix that tonight. The smell is kicking up a notch, too. Still not anything the air freshener wont cover up, but I do get an occasional waft of the greeny/citrus smell in the corner the vent points towards.

Just had my first date with Sally D. I'm glad I decided to try a small trial first to calibrate my dosage as that small trial got me right where I wanted to be. Not quite out there all the way, but enough to consider physically and spiritually merging with the art on the front of my grow box. The other half gets brownie points for the art project

At any rate, the girl is about a week or so away from harvest, I'm thinking. I'm going to pull the little stuff first and see whether the bigger stuff can use a couple more days or not.

they definately would have packed on more weight if you left them(unless they were stressed for some reason)....and did you flush them before picking?

Not as much as I would have liked, they only got a little over a week's worth of flush. I was worried I'd flat out kill her making it impossible to reveg.

Yeah, I'm pretty disappointed with the yield, which is also why I left the bigger nug on the plant to see if it'll really pack it on. Timing wasn't on my side, this time, though. I'll report back once this popcorn nug finished drying so I can get a preview.

And yes, she did get a bit stressed a couple weeks ago in the nute deficiency that basically killed the other girl.

Wanted to have some for a trip this weekend, although in hindsight, I probably shouldn't have took as much off of her as I did. Got a bit excited . At any rate, a quick test has revealed that the potency is definitely up there, now I'm excited for the stuff that's properly drying to finish up.

Still not quite done, she's is. I'm just going off of the maturity of a 'oops' seed in the big bud, but she's still about a week from being done. But on that note, I pulled another seed out of a little nug and paper toweled it. She had cracked last night and should get planted today, assuming everything went according to plan. I'm just happy to have guaranteed females, even if it means that they could go hermi again very easily.

But the first two thirds is curing away at the moment. The potency is pretty good, but the taste is pretty bad. She needed more flushing for sure, but a couple more weeks of curing should also help.

Looks like they coming around. Always a good thing. Sometimes, when they get beat up and come back, they're stronger than ever, but dont ever stress plants on purpose, because it is the easiest way to get hermies.

Haven't fed it anything yet, it's actually in straight FF Ocean Forest and I've been watering it sparsely. Was worried it would rot as it's not it a good cacti soil at all, but it has been loving it so far. It's only been in the soil about 8 weeks now and has rooted, pupped, and is taking off; surprised the hell out of me, I was expecting it to just go dormant.
