super ghetto question.
SO i got this bong at venice for 60 bucks. Now when i got this, it was placed in a black case, the colors looked fuckin sick, he told me it was all color changing glass. So i thought wtf might as well get it. Now ive had this for a long time, and the top part of the bong wont change colors, it just looks piss yellow. So heres the question, has anyone put like some type of black tape or something to make the color stand out. Believe me when i say smoking and resin doesnt change it, i smoke er'day al'day
any suggestions?

my ideas suck but it's a lot better than using tape:
try smoking out of it without water, it'll change like a normal piece.
or fill up the chamber with smoke and let it just sit there (i wouldn't waste the weed myself). you could use tobacco or something and just fill it up and not inhale anything.
i had a color changing bong once, i never let it change but it did get dirty even using it with water (and an ashcatcher). not changing the water speeds up the process. smoke more 
but really even if it is color changing, it's just gonna look grimy and shit and taste terrible when you hit it. hitting a dirty bong is not pleasurable. neither would be hitting one with tape. chemicals might leach onto your smoke.
i would just sell your bong and get one that looks good regardless if thats what you want.
maybe look into getting a ceramic black paint or something that won't release toxins when heated.
alternatively, if you want to spend a bunch of money on a bong that probably isn't even worth it, you could get a glass blower to achieve the results you wanted, but it would be cheaper just to get a new bong.

Yeah I had the same problem with this color changing bowl I used to have. It was like all curvey and stuff and there was one spot on a curve that wouldn’t change color it was just like a dirty yellow. Eventually after smoking out of it everyday for months and letting the smoke chill in it, it changed color. The only bad thing was by that time it was so res'd out that every hit tasted like shit and I had to clean it

Ok so i have not gotten to test this but one of my x room mates told me awhile back that clear class that will change after years of resination can be seen in its later state if you take a picture of it with a digital camera something about it is supposed to make you see the colors
