My bank is taking over 100 dollars from me. I apparently overdrafted,(which i'm not sure how becuase looking at my statement online it does't make sense)but I was just going to pay the fee and be done. I went and deposited a check yesterday and they charged me two more overdraft fees and I haven't used the card since the first one. I can't afford this. What am I supposed to do?

I saw a youtube video about how a dude got out of his overdraft fees. One possibility would be to take your bank to a small claims court and claim the injustice of the fees. They'll settle immediately and pay for your fee's and even court fee's since it's overall way cheaper for them than hiring attorneys to defend them in court.

Talk to your bank, they'll usually revoke some depends on how nice they are that day

I just got off of the phone with them. I had one several years ago and apparently they only revoke one overdraft fee for the lifetime of the account. I explained as nicely as possible(since essentially it was probably this woman who decided how broke I was going to be) that I could not live off of what they were leaving me with and that to take over 100 dollars is outlandish. Long story short i'm getting 76/114 dollars back. Not great but i'll take it

no it was almost 100 at first. total they wanted 114 but i got 76 back. increments of 38

so you fucked up and over-drafted several years ago and they give you a freebie and you don't learn your lesson...
so you then repeat your mistake again (twice?) and are complaining about it?

No actually it was their fault for not posting the things on their website or their automated thing like they're supposed. Thanks for the assumption though

Your bank should and probably will refund some of the fees. It depends on if you've had it done before and how many times.
I've had problems with that in the past too. Banks always seem to work shit out like that. Just think about how much money they make from overdraft fees.
I know it's hard to do; especially if you're young. Try to keep enough money in the bank so you don't have to worry about it. Give them fuckers a call, tell them you made a mistake, and ask to have the overdraft fees over-turned. Good luck.

Oh, and it is not their fault, it is yours. Make a budget, and keep track of how much money you have in your account.

Yeah, i've already spoken with them and got it worked out. I even admitted fault for where I screwed up this woman was just being very condescending and outright rude for supposedly being a higher up manager.

one time I got out of $100 in overdraft fees by bitching them out and I was soooo surprised it actually worked.

Yeah, I was fairly angry but still tried to be polite since this woman pretty much decided it. Could've worked out worse I suppose
