Same here and I realized that none of them really mattered. Nothing does. Reality as each of us hangs on to in an attempt to gain some footing in the chaos is just a matter of perception. As reality changes our perceptions can as well. Nothing really matters.
I bet living pn SSI helps that along a great deal.

You have to be able to show a history of not being able to hold down a job, plus a history of bi-polar issues. I have all of these working in my favor. You are not gonna qualify for disability due to bi-polar disorder if you are in your 20's. Not enough history for a judge to make a decision in your favor.
Also you are not gonna draw much from social security in your 20's. Surely not enough to live on.
well as long as i get a small apartment and show proof of what my average living costs would be then yes but i also have parents that can help me out. I too have a history of not holding jobs and i have 2 doctors opinions saying im disabled and im only 20 so it is possible but yes the majority of people with SSI are older
