$80.00 is not really that expensive when it comes to scales. Sure it's a lot more than the cheap 1/10 gram crap but expensive high quality scales are priced in the hundreds. I wouldn't be concerned about them switching back and forth a little on the last number. I would be more concerned about them being calibrated correctly. Especially if they are new out of the box.

I did that with a HBWR extraction once except with alcohol. It worked very well. I made it so that doses could be measured in ml with a dropper. I also ended up throwing that shit away. There are better things to trip on for me.

A drank nearly a fith of everclear over a few hours when I was 14. For a couple of days I wanted to die. I'm surprised that I didn't.
