I got evicted a couple of weeks ago, and my mom offered to let me and my dogs crash at her place until I found a new place. All well and good, until I found out that she (and the guy she's fucking) think I'm a terrible person. According to them, I'm an abusive dog owner, I use people, I lie constantly, and no one actually likes me. They stole my dogs while I was at work today, and rehomed them. I am so upset y'all have no idea. I consider my dogs to be family, way more so than those two asswipes. I don't know where they are, and they won't tell me.
I tried to get my stuff out of their house this afternoon after work, and they called the cops on me for trespassing. I don't even know if I'll be able to get my belongings out of their house. Thank goodness I got my laptop and my good bass, but all my other stuff may end up at the dump.
The other shitty thing about this is that the breeders I got my dogs from both have contracts that state that they have a right to first buy back if I ever rehome them, and there is a huge financial penalty for breaking it. I'm looking at several grand per dog if they find out my dogs are no longer with me.

I don't even know, I think it's that guy's fault. He's never liked me and she's changed a lot since she's been with him. She used to be super opinionated and intelligent and now it's whatever he says goes.

fuck that dude, im not sure she has the legal rights to just take your dogs. now, i really have no idea (legally) what im talking about, but that doesn't make a whole bunch of shit.
like, i can't just go to my friends house, take his dogs and not give them back. even if he is a bad person.

Thanks y'all. I left a message for my lawyer about it, but I haven't heard back yet. One of my dogs is purebred and cost about $2000 as a pup, but he's a adult show dog now and his value as a stud is significantly higher than that now. She may also have had him neutered, since she thinks it's "unfair" to keep him intact and not breed him all the time.
I never thought I'd say this, but jesusfuck I hate my mother.
I was planning to wait until September to move out of town, but since I'm looking for a place anyways I might just go now.
