AURELIA S´ LUSARKIEWICZ-JARZINA*, ALEKSANDRA PONITKA, AND ZYGMUNT KACZMAREK Institute of Plant Genetics, Polish Academy of Sciences, ul. All you SOG growers can now keep bonsai moms too; you could get 100 clones easily off a tiny plant. Don't let the wording of that paper fool you, tissue culture is pretty simple. Here is another site that gives a basic run-down. Tissue Culture MethodsMaybe we can all chip in and buy some of these hormones so we can try this at home. Let me know what you think!

Don't let the hype of the media dissuade you, hormones are everywhere. Hundreds (if not thousands) of human medications are just hormones with fancy names. If you don't like hormones, don't use rooting powder, nor 90% of the fertilizer additives available. Manipulation of hormones is how a natural system responds to it's environment; when we take that natural system out of its habitat and into our closets, we must help them acclimate by using the proper hormones so they know how to deal with the changed environment.
