As for the Chinese weed, I think you might be right. The Chinese triads are supposedly behind most weed trafficking here (if you believe the news), so maybe the weed came from Chinese people and the origin just got mixed up on the way. I took a photo but I'll have to find my camera before I can upload it.

Well leaving your location out of course is going to cause confusion. Most people prolly thought you were in the US, which to say you're getting weed from Amsterdam in the US would make one look foolish. Near Holland is a whole other story.
