Wish I knew. Never had a problem with an auto that belonged to me. 
Tore up a few manuals of my own but that was just me not giving a fuck.

I know a little about transmissions. I got in to card when I was younger but it never went too far with it. I have a friend that builds little racecar things over at Georgia Tech for their racing team...So if I can't help you maybe he can.
I had to replace 3 and 1 transfer case on my Jeep...
