Anyone else exited about the outdoor season?
    #190728 - 01/30/09 10:41 AM (15 years, 10 months ago)

I'm going to give it another shot this year, and hopefully deer wont eat all my plants like they did last year.:D

I heard that human hair scares them away, does anyone have any other poor mans tips to scare the deer away from my babies?

Tell ya what I did in my younger days was plant in buckets and hang in the forks of big oak trees. No deer in the trees and the people and cops out looking usually dont look up.

i'm thinking about doing some outdoor, but i'm in a really suburban area.  its good and bad, because theres a lot of outdoor areas that would be great for growing, but i dunno about human traffic with all the hiking trails and bike paths.  somewhere i read someone's idea was to tack a dollar bill to a tree or whatever in a spot and see if it disappears, in order to see if people go by a potential spot.

when does everyone put their plants out? i'm thinking about making an adventure of it on 4/20 and going out with a couple friends and some boxes of clones to plant.

it will depend on your location and last frost dates.

I've always heard that but have my doubts after this hunting season. Had some kid who has no business with a gun, especially unsupervised, set up a stand and a pile of corn near it. Same kid also got an attitude with me and started running his mouth a lot. I saved up 6 liters of piss and put it in a pump sprayer. I soaked the corn, the stand, and the surrounding area with the rest until it ran out. Even with a later 'treatment' deer kept eating the corn.
