ahhh you caught me! I fuck up like that sometimes. I meant females. I need to take some more pictures of my crop. I ran 3 feeding cycles with ph adjusted h20. I turned off the lights for the first time in over a month today. They were off from 7 am to 7 pm. This way they are on only when im here. I'm paranoid and supervision is paramount at this juncture. I mixed up some nutes this evening as well. I mixed floranova veg and bloom at a 1 to 4 ratio. I should be getting that light any day now. they had to order it.

My batteries died. Only three pics this time round. The three plants in the back are 24 inches each. There is one plant in the front that is like 9 or 10 inches tall. The others are just overpowering it. Also, the leaves appear to be bright yellow in one of the pics. I think this is just a photography problem. I will be SOOO glad when i am done with this project.

SPECIAL UPDATE!!!
Well i got my shit today. The light is running right now. It's a million times better than what i had previously. Really though. I am going to have to do something about the light - since i run my day cycles at night with the door open usually. door faces a wall of windows so you can see the issue. Anyway, it took a lot of fucking work tonight to get all this put together. I didn't have anything decent to hang up the lights with. My walls are Masonite and I do not want to puncture them. Literally the only thing I have in my possession that I could use was my ironing board. So what, i go to work with wrinkled clothes for a couple months, no biggie. I cleaned it all up and here she is...
The shit
The setup
The GREEEEEN
You can sure tell the difference between the light spectrums. I also believe that this reflector will accommodate an MH bulb as well.
It...just...got...serious!

Nice! You and your plants will love that light. I love the ironing board light hanger, you could try a shower curtain bar, they are cheap and effective. Do you every use any photo editing software? You can fix the problem with the orange tint in photoshop quite easily, or your camera might have a white balance option that you could try.

thanks! Ahh, good! I was wanting to do something about that. I used to have photoshop that i got from a friend but for some reason it left my computer. I will try the white balance option first. I'd love to have photoshop again if anyone knows where a reliable, free version can be found. I have also got a long clothes hanger that would have done the trick but it would have required even more ghettoness to make it stay balanced. The ironing board has those legs on each end that help distribute the weight of the reflector. it works for now. i might need to end up doing something else if the plants get too tall. I took off the tempered glass that was on there and let it run all night. When I checked it this morning, just before the lights were scheduled to go out the temp was 73 degrees. perfect! The heat didn't seem to be an issue. the door was partially open though. I might try it with the door shut tonight.

i keep my door pretty shut and it stays about 78 in the room. I use a high velocity fan though to keep the air moving Im satisfied, it doesn't feel so hot walking into the room w. my new fan. at night it doesnt get a fan it gets covered and the door stays partially open. I have checked, there is 0 light leaking into the plant area when this time comes around.
a MH bulb/conversion bulb would be GREAT for that ballast, your next grow should incorporate it. You can find them 400W for around $35 if you search online enough.

I think I have positively ID'd the sex of the first plant. AANNNDdd it's a male. It's the fist picture. let me know if you think i am wrong. The second and third picture I think is female though. Sucks that that male plant is one of the taller plants. Oh well, it'll give more light and space to the remaining females.

Upon a closer inspection tonight I have positively identified 4 females and 1 male so far. There are two small ones that are lagging a bit (lot). lol. Those 4 females just happen to be the tallest 4 of 5.
Welcome to the jungle...

in the 2nd picture it looks like the leaves are trying to dissipate moisture, overwatered... they are curling the sides upwards, which means its trying to release as much moisture as possible. Could be a sign of over water, or salt build up. When is the last time you did a flush?

I did a flush the last time I changed my water - which was last week - maybe 8 days ago. I am actually doing a flush tonight after the lights come back on. The next two waterings will be with H20 only. That's surprising that you say they look overwatered. I water them one time per day for 30 minutes and that's it. My timer won't let me do it any less than 30 minutes. lol. For the 30 minutes it's feeding the water streams out fairly good. It's a constant stream. I haven't measured the output though.

wow, i wouldnt expect 1x a day for 30min to be an issue. This is a drip system technically or ebb and flow?

im still doing it as a drip. I've got everything set up to be ebb and flow but I don't wanna do that. OK, so i can see all the preflowers here. I chopped down one of the males last night. I am about 85% sure their is one other male and that the other 5 are female. I can live with that kinda percentage! i can't wait to watch these buds develop. I'll chop the other plant in the next couple of days.
I did three feedings with only ph adjusted h20 that had a ppm of about 150. Tonight I put in the FN bloom. I didn't mix any of the other veg floranova. The ppms are around 830 ppm. Oh i did make a mistake. I have been doing two feedings per day for the last few days. so one hour of water per day.

Yeah, there's lots of room for improvement here. lol. Consider this a trial run. Once I get a house I think I will be growing all different strains to find the few that I like the best. Then I can just grow them once a year and have my supply for the rest of the year. Anyway I am going to figure out this lighting situation - the color of the pictures i mean. I had to move the light up about 3 or 4 inches because of new growth. It stays around 77-78 when the lights are on. Plus they have a good supply of moving air going across them. What sucks is that there is a really small plant that is less than half the size of the bigger four females. Oh, also i got 5 females and 2 males. Can't remember if i mentioned that. I just can't wait to see some buds and some crystals!
^male plant before
^male plant after
^male plant after that last one
I'm running low on space. I think i can only afford about another 12 inches of growth before their size becomes a problem. Although, I suppose I might be able to rig it up with this ironing board. Since it expands and grows taller. that'd be a bit risky but might be a last resort. Here's another one. See how much they have grown! It's nuts.

I hope you're right polk! Welcome back from the clink! I got a bit of bad news though. These things are growing like gangbusters man. They must be at least 4 feet tall now. I can't lower them any more than I have already. I can raise the light anohter 4 or 5 inches but that is it. Time to do some bending. The tallest plant got burnt last night. Well, i don't know if it's burnt or just heat stressed. I will find out in an hour and a half. This morning it looked kinda bad. I hope it can recover. Tonight I will move the lights to their maximum position. I think I will also bend the plants tonight or maybe tomorrow. Any suggestions on bending plants before I do the research?
