I've been listening to some of his lectures (podcasts) lately, and found them to be very interesting and thought provoking.
Anyone else find his ideals and theories to be inspiring?
I know there are a lot of haters that will say he's a crack pot, but I enjoy listening to his ramblings.

TPE may have been a better place for this, but I have several of his cannabis lectures on mp3 and they're also fascinating.

also, the Shroomery is full of morons that would just bring negativity to the thread with their "McKenna is a fucking kook" bullshit

dog. You don't bring up Terence McKenna on the growery. That's not very chill, dog .
Which 'crazy' theories in particular do you find interesting. One of my favorites is the one about human evolution being facilitated by psychedelics. From early ape like humans that discovered psilocybin mushrooms when they began to move from the jungle out onto the plains.

i don't agree with everything he says, but a lot of his shit is pretty spot on
the reason people think he's crazy is because they don't know how crazy reality and existence really is
unlike most people think, the inner workings of the universe ARE crazy, and nobody is going to believe something like what mckenna talks about until they have learned it for themselves through experience, i used to be like that for sure, and now i'm pretty positive most "normal" people would consider me crazy if i told them what i think everything is really like

'crazy' or not he was a VERY interesting guy. People judge and discard him as a burnt out crackpot. But the man was very knowledgeable in human history, philosophy, mythology, and so on. He just had unique ideas about reality and consciousness. Why is that so bad. Because 'you' maybe already have the universe figured out? (not you personally )Because religion or someone else has already 'figured it out' for you?
Hope you're okay wherever you are man. Bummer you crossed over before I could see you in person.
