Just the biggest of seedlings right now, if she turns out to be female she will be cloned and grown in a scrog.
Bag seed from a medical sack of super silver haze.
light is HPS and was traded for the mere price of 2 spore syringes.

when they're that small, no, it's not. Personally i never recommend HID's for seedlings, at least not right away. It's better to start them out under fluros and once the first sets of true leaves come in, gradually expose them to the HID lamp.
If you don't want to use fluoros i would shoot for a two foot minimum until they start to get a bit stronger. Not only do you run the risk of frying the plants, you can also dry out the soil too quickly which will kill them pretty quick as well.

apparently my spatial conception skills are terrible, i actually measured the space and its 19 inches, i know its not quite 2 feet but you think thats close enough, if not i'll see what i can do.
btw its not an hid lamp its a hps unless thats the same thing.

Yes, HID stands for High Intensity Discharge lamp, Which includes both Metal Halide (which are best for vegetative growth due to their blue-ish light spectrum) and High Pressure Sodium (HPS).

19 inches should be ok. Just keep your eyes on the prize man. Make sure the soil doesn't stay dry for long and if the plant starts to crisp up, move the lights up a little bit. A nice breeze from an oscillating fan will also help dissipate the heat and strengthen your stems.

if im growing them under a hps lamp should i switch to 18/6 instead of 24 hours, the plant is starting to droop a little on its bottom sets of leaves.

You should make sure that you have a vent flowing fresh air in your grow chamber and get a thermometer. Make sure you're space isn't exceeding 80 degrees F. Otherwise you'll have a real problem. Those HPS lights are scorchers. I'd recommend just a CFL if you're only growing one plant. All of the spectrum your plant will need for now and none of the heat. Turn on the HPS when you're ready to flower.

I've got about 20 seeds I've collected over 3 years from high end bags. I'm waiting to move out to seed them. Tell me how things go! I'll be cheering your grow on!
