Are you talking about the older leaves turning thinner or the new growth? The new shoots on my plants are a bit thin and weakly (and kind of sagging, especially on my haze) but I always figured they just need some light and some time. Pics?
*edit*: I missed the word "new" while reading your post.

shat, i dont remember what it was, but i believe it was upwards of 7+. I corrected it by getting pH drops lol. You really cannot respect pH enough until you accurately measure it; and it seems tiger bloom and some fox farm stuff requires double checking every other day or so just to make sure it doesnt raise. I am using Tiger Bloom now, and i had it @ 6.0 & two days later it was above 8, so its something to watch out for if you use fox farm. Great stuff, just adjust pH as necessary.

its a DWC setup. I adjusted this morning, came back and it's 7.0 again. I think i may not be solving the problem, so since im home early, i adjusted to 6.0 and in an hour i will check again, maybe something is happening as I mix the fluid that it does such like somehow i am only getting the water that mixed w/ the down substance etc.........
