So what is the relationship between length of the vegetation period and total amount of harvest? Of course the harvest depends on strain and how it was grown, but how would you describe the curve generally? Are we talking about a linear or exponential relationship?
Depends on how your gonna grow the plants and what strain. Some strains grow like mad during veg some are slow. Some plants stretch during flowering real badly so if you veg to long the flowering plants will be in the lights. Some that don't stretch if not given the veg time they need they are very small when harvested.

Okay then, here are my babes, SSH on the left and Big Bang to the right. It's roughly two weeks since they sprouted and I'm wondering how much I'll gain on keeping them in vegetative state. What would you do?
It looks like your gonna have about 2 maybe 3 ft when your lights are at the highest between the pots and the light if you give your light 1 foot betwwen the light and the ceiling. So bassicaly If you let it veg until its 1 foot high it will probably grow another 2 foot in flower b4 it puts its energy in the buds.So to put it more simple youll want 4 ft in all from the pot to ceiling 1 ft for light 3 ft for plant.I think that would be fine. But maybe someone with more experiance might be able to help more.(early in the mornin sorry if im long winded)
