Is there a strain which does not smell

My friend has grown 2-3 plants in his basement. The basement is 3 rooms deep underground in a big house. He has an ioniser and a air filter thing in the room itself but still the weed stinks out the entire house!
You can smell it as soon as you get near the house. He permenantly stinks of weed himself and its that distinct smell of fresh growing weed.
He wants to know if there is a strain that produces no stink or as little as possible.
We've bought weed before that has no smell to it so there must be some strain that doesn't smell.
I've been told hear-say about less smelling strains but we'd like adefinitive answer. Its important as if it starts stinking this bad again he's gonna abandon the project.

Tell him to seal up the room, and get an intake and exhaust fan with carbon filters. They will take away most of the smell.

He should defintly have a sealed room with an carbon scrubber on the exhaust. That will eliminate 99% of the odor and he would be able to grow any strain he wanted. Because face it, who wants bland smelling/tasting weed?
That said, I've heard NL has a couple fantastic low odor phenos.

Agree'd I knows of some grow houses that run Northern Lights without odor control. Heat and humidity being on the low end will help with smell a lot but can effect yields if too low.
Carbon scrubber ftw!

agreed about nl. id go with nl#2 aka oasis. nl#5 reeks! you could if your climate still permits plant sage, oregano, catnip etc... it should help alittle and help disguise the source. make sure they are in plain view also so people see that if they are catching a wiff. nothing beats good odor control(carbon filters etc)!
