when i took amanitas i thought they seemed kinda like benzos. i read about them a lil and found out thats cus muscimol works on the same brain receptors as benzo's (GABAA) so the high is similar. not exactly the same but close. just thought i'd point

Were they worth trying? My friend thought about trying them. They're cheap, i've already tried the real deal i would only eat them if they had a worthwhile quality.

if you like the feeling of benzos i'd say its a go. you just need to take a good amount to get a good high (like about 10 grams) alot more than a normal psilocybe trip. i've only taken them a few times so start small cus i hear some can be more potent than others.

from wikipedia
"Muscimol (Agarin, Pantherine) is the major psychoactive alkaloid present in many mushrooms of the Amanita genus. Unlike psilocybin, a tryptamine, muscimol is a potent, selective agonist of the GABAA receptor"
"the effects are frequently compared to a lucid dream state. The hallucinogenic effect produced by muscimol is most closely comparable to the hallucinogenic side effects produced by some other GABAergic drugs such as zolpidem."
"Zolpidem is a prescription medication used for the short-term treatment of insomnia, as well as some brain disorders. It is a short-acting nonbenzodiazepine hypnotic that potentiates gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), an inhibitory neurotransmitter, by binding to gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABAA) receptors at the same location as benzodiazepines.[1] It works quickly (usually within 15 minutes) and has a short half-life (2–3 hours). "
"Benzodiazepines produce a range of effects from depressing to stimulating the central nervous system via modulating the GABAA receptor, the most prevalent inhibitory receptor within the brain."
this is how i came up with my conclusion
