I also found three more seeds that i germinated yesterday and had grown so much that I put them in rockwool cubes this evening. I posted a picture of the bud that these seeds came from a while back and can be seen here:
$50 an OZ weed. Let's see how those buds turn out - hopefully. I posted that in the Brick weed thread.
edit: that bud was $60 for an oz not 50 as I stated earlier.

Update!
I will be going out of town for 4 days on wednesday - returning on Sunday. So with this in mind I have been focusing on the automation of this system. I bought an air pump and a little hose that attaches to it on two sides so it provides SUPER aeration. I got some panty hose as the doctor suggested to put around my pump. I also bought another 48" light fixture and got similar lights. I also bought a ppm reader and a new deadbolt. I also bought some tract for lighting and a tract fan as well. I guess I bought this shit in haste since it's really hard to find a small oscillating desk fan around here in the winter. I am not sure if i am going to be able to get it installed. I haven't taken it apart enough to find out if it's above my head or not. Here are some pictures. I also have a $300 check coming to me so I will just use that money to buy up the rest of my equipment - GOOD LIGHTS! I will do that as soon as the money is in my hand. Also, when i get back from vaca I think I will start in with the nutrient delivery. Thus far I have been providing just water alone. Anyone have a suggestion for bulb's and reflector? I know I am going to get a 400w galaxy digital ballast so I need something that would go well with it. Thanks for stopping by again.
Those lights in these pictures were raised so I could take a decent picture. Normally they are a few inches from the tops of the plants. If I manage to get this tract fan installed and running I will post a pic. My fear is that I have to take it back and get a refund.

Also, the plan is to run the drip feed 1 time per day for 15 minutes (EDIT: timer limit is min of 30 minutes. So i ran it 1x per day for 30 min). I will run the air pump 2-3 times per day to keep the water from getting stagnant. I also have a lid for the rez to reduce evaporation. I haven't done a trial run yet but i don't anticipate any problems. The parts per million are below 100 and the ph has been adjusted to roughly 5.8. I spent the afternoon looking for the receipt for the fan and I found it. I am going to have to take it back along with the tract that i bought. I did see a small oscillating fan at a store today. I will go back and purchase it tomorrow. What do you guys think?

I just got back from a little trip across the country. Was gone for 4 days. First thing I did was check the plants. First thing i noticed was the smell. I can't believe these things reeked so bad. I will have to get an ionizer or something soon. it's probably ok for now. They grew quite a bit in the last four days too! It's nice to go away and come back with fresh eyes and notice all that growth. One of them (and you'll see which one) is growing all goofy. I've never seen this problem before. I will probably have to discard one of these plants already though. It's just not pulling it's weight. Pics to come later. lunch time!

looking like a nice little setup dude, good luck on it im trying a multi-dwc setup, and i also am thinking of canning 1 plant of 5. . . even if it turns out female not sure if I wanna keep her, she seems to create plenty of stems w/o much growth the others have normal growth but i think I may be having some pH issues. Short on cash because of emergencies; seen some pH meters on ebay for $10 im gonna buy one just to have something & the some ph up/down. Bad timing you could say. .

Thanks guys! I also like a clean set up. I guess I got that habit through mycology. The issue I seem to be confronted with now is the root growth. I moved a few of these baskets around and saw that the roots were already growing through the bottom of the baskets. I am wondering if I should just put some white/black poly film over the top of the baskets and just leave it at that or just switch to an ebb and flow set up altogether.

Wait, did I read correctly? Did you say you were giving them just plain water?
Quote:
Thus far I have been providing just water alone.
Plain water alone cannot support plant growth. I am very surprised they even lived. Your babies require nutrients to grow, not light alone. I use a very dilute solution of nutrients even with my seedlings. The last pictures you posted are evidence of this. Your plants have extremely small leaves for their size; my leaves are usually at least 3"-4" by the 2nd or 3rd node.
I think you said you had nutrients now though so hopefully they will be looking better. Keep us updated!

Lol, you read it right. Water and ph down. I was going to wait for the little ones to get a bit bigger before I started to add the nutes. I can't hit up the store tomorrow for the nutes so i will have to go on thursday at lunch. Any recommendations on nutes from general hydro? I was thinking about the flora gro and flora bloom from this page.

From GH I really like their FloraNOVA series. It is two part, grow and bloom, and it does a fantastic job without any additives or supplements. Lately I've been leaning towards the Advanced Nutrients line as they are the only company that boldly states they test and design their products for marijuana. Either way, you need nutrients as soon as possible. The yellowing of your leaves and the general stunted growth is defintly due to the lack of essential minerals and organic compounds. Best of luck!

Thanks, and I will. I bought some FloraNova grow today. I mixed it up in my water to just above 600 ppm then fed them all for 30 minutes. Hopefully that's not too high for the smaller plants.

Oh, i also found a small fly in the grow room today. I killed it and I haven't seen any more. The fly looked more interested in the drains than the plants though.
