why spend hundreds of dollars when you can get this for $50+s/h and make necessary alterations yourself from things readily available at the depot of homes or lowes??
60"x20"x63" (w/d/h) could fit a few plants in there. Bet w/ just $40 worth a materials could have a nice little grow closet capable of 4 plants. Some flat white spray paint for reflection & some ingenuity on lighting and voila, money saved.

YEAH, airtight is not something i'd use to describe it, though it does appear to be a cheaper alternative than spending $350.

i wouldn't think 'airtight' would be much of an issue, since the grow space needs proper ventilation. it seems pretty efficient to me

what about the smell issues?
usually you want airtight with a carbon scrubber if worried about smell
otherwise what's the point of a growbox? i'd just throw it in a closet otherwise.

It's easier and more manageable than just having a closet, it keeps from losing stupid amounts of light to open spaces or poorly designed grow areas, and you don't have a huge glowing orange closet when it comes time to flower either. Plus, it'd be easier to maintain temperature than a closet, as most closets offer no ventilation while this you can at least install your own vent lines & inline fans to cool/deoderize

That doesn't look like a bad idea, but I think you're overestimating the cost of building a grow box. I haven't started mine yet but I went and priced out the lumber the other day and, excluding the door, it'll only be about $50. The door shouldn't cost but another 10$ tops, plus hinges and a latch. That is for a 4x4x8 growbox.
