if not, id still rather do 6 months in, then 12 months on probation
anyone ever been through this before? what do they give you for your first DUI? (under21)

I know plenty of people who got dui's and a few didnt spend any time in jail and plead guilty, a few spent 24-72 hours and one spent 10 days in jail. I dont think you have to worry about 4-6 months. now the year of breathe scanner in your car at 80 dollars a month and the drug testing for 6 months will suck.

I've had 3 DUI's and I haven't spent more than a weekend in lockup.... actually 2 dui's and once with driving with a suspended license
I don't have a drivers license now and I'm in my twenties and drive 40minutes to school every day so it kinda sucks.
I actually heard of a guy who was constantly getting caught drunk driving and they locked him up for 15 years because he was just bound to kill someone it would be the same thing as a blind man taking random shots in the distance with a revolver or something.
Bars are evil, girls who do bars are usually sketchy as fuck... I know girls who do rohypnol and cut themselves and write fucked up poetry.

They have better things to do than fill their jails with people with dui's for very long. A few days in jail will usually get a point across enough. They'd rather make your life hell outside of jail lol.

Yeah, my brother got into a DUI / car wreck totaling his eclipse spyder and they found drugs and weapons in his car and he only got a week and he has a record for possesion with intent and robbery with misc assault and battery charges... seriously Canada is slack as fuck. I know a guy who got caught for 3 armed robbery's in a year and on the 3rd one he got 5 years and he'll probably be out next year (the 3 year) another person I know got a couple years of house arrest for armed robbery and he pistol whipped the guy at the counter. If you're a criminal Canada is the place to be.
I had to go to AA classes but I knew the organizer so I only went to one class the first time around.
Right now I need to complete 8 more sessions before I can re-take my roadtest. I think they're like 2hour sessions and they're across town so I'll take my sweet time and hope I don't get into a wreck.

nah dude. the reason i cant do all that, is because i have no money.
i dont have the money for probation, and all the monthly drug tests. i dont have money to install a breathalizer in my car (not that they do that in my state anyway). i dont have the money to pay for D&A classes.
not to mention, id gladly go to county for 6 months than be on probation for a year. probation is a trap, i was on for 3 years. never again. ill GLADY take the time.

I stay away from bars, I'm sitting on a few hundred clonazepam 2mg's my friend gave me which will probably last me a year at the current rate of consumption, indefinately if he keeps giving me his script which he will I thinks.
Bars are really good for catching a good buzz at a bar so you don't feel the need to keep buying drinks, I usually have a system where I go to the bar with girls they get free drinks from lonely guys and we share them and I eat some bars and I spend hardly any money :-D

If you just plea guilty with no bargaining and just say you want to serve your time you're probably right about serving a few months. If I get another DUI i'll likely spend 1-3 months behind bars.

I got a DUI last summer. I had to pay like 400 in fines and do either a weekend in jail OR pay $300 to stay in a hotel thursday-sunday and learn about the dangers of drinking and driving all day long.

well ive been on probation, and will do anything to not go back. doing 4-6months in jail to avoid a year of probation is more than worth it in my eyes. not to mention, working two jobs is good and all, but ive been having trouble getting any job period.... soo why not?
Tough situation, but regardless, for me personally I would not want to go to jail.

i have a freind who was drunk driving and crashed into a house
he didnt have to do any time, except for that one night in jail

a few years back. a friend of mine was driving a few people with alot of beer in the back. hes 16. and he gets pulled over. the cops just called his parrents. no ticket. epic

I've crashed a couple cars I actually had a underage DUI when I was like 13 or 14 maybe 15 I don't even really remember. Pretty sure I was 13 turning 14. Either way I called my neighbor and he came and posed as my father and they let me go and my mom and dad never knew about it.
I know tons of people who crash into fucked up shit and don't get in trouble other than fines and AA classes to get their license back. Usually you can talk your way out of a DUI like common bro I'm hardly drunk or I'm almost home... cops don't really like busting people because of the paper work I'm sure... and the fact that a lot of people turn violent on their asses.
