 WL Double Gum & DP PowerPlant

This site is too new to have enough journals to find info on these strains, but does anyone have any experience with them? White label Double Gum and Dutch Passion PowerPlant.
Anyone here a strictly cabinet grower? I am a hydro kind of guy so in my cab I usually only run about 2-3 bushy plants. Does anyone have any good ideas for finding mothers? I have always had a hard time getting clones so I have decided to build a little mother box. But I need a good way to find a mother. Should I just start 10 in soil, clone all of them and switch to flower to choose the mother? Anyone have any better suggestions?

Well just an update on the White Label beans.
Of the 10 I started, 2 failed to germinate even after scarification, one mutant that grew a shoot / cotyledons but no roots, and one runt that I culled.
Not the best rates so far but I hope they make up for it in female:male ratio.

Bit of an update on the Double Gum:
Here is a picture:
Smell: 7/10
Taste: 7/10 I got a black walnut flavor in one mom that I really like.
Ease of growth: 5/10 Bad germination rate and non-uniform growth.
Potency: 8/10 Nice mild high, not too stony.
Not to bad for the price but definitely not the best genetics around.

In my opinion the only way to choose mothers is to flower them and sample the resulting buds.
What I do when growing out from seed is grow them all, clone for sex, kill the males, keep all the fems in veg, and clone again. Then I veg the new clones for about 10 days, flower them, and keep the best female as my mother. Then I kill off the other females or if its summer, I move them outside and flower them for fun.
When choosing your mom, you have to decide if you want the fastest flowering one, the most potent one, or the one most resistant to pests and disease. You'll have to decide which characteristics you want to keep. Personally, I always choose the plant with the most potent buds.

out of the seeds that did make it how many femal any bubblegum taste to any of them?

I didn't get much of the sweet smell that is associated with the strain. If you are looking for a true bubble gum taste, try serious seeds bubble gum, barring BOG, I think they have the best bubble around now.
