 Couple questions on oil

I have some oil, whats the best way to smoke it alone without plant material?
also
I was wanting to know that once its dry that means its safe to smoke and all the solvent is evaporated, even if its a little guey when you scrape it?

yeah its safe to smoke 
and I have never tried smoking oil without plant material so I dont really know
you could smoke it out of a freebase pipe or a lightbulb

Ya, the best way would be out of those crack pipes. If you go to a head shop you might be able to find a pipe like mine that has the holes on the side of the bowl rather than on the bottom. That way the oil does not drip through the bowl, and you can light it with a hot glass rod so it tastes better and nothing is destroyed in the flame.

If you have a regular glass bowl, even if the oil goes down in the little hole at the bottom, a good lighter should still be able to reach through the hole and get to the oil.

ahh but the taste is far superior if you heat the hash with a glass rod rather than a butane flame. Ill try to get a camera so I can show you guys my little setup. Definetly a worthy investment for any concentrate lover.

My favorite way to smoke oil is 'hot knives'. You take two butter knives that you don't like/use, (they are forever blackened after this) and heat them up on the stove until they are red hot; get a pin and scrape up a match head size drop of oil, then heat the back of the needle so the oil gets runny and drip it onto one of the knives. Use a pen tube to 'hoot' up the thick stream of smoke that runs up from the knife. When it starts to cool down and the smoke slows, use the second knife to sandwich the oil and heat it up again to get a last blast of thick smoke. Heat the knives and repeat.

i feel the same way only here we call them stove hits but its still used with a hot knife.

yup, best way. Stove hits, I've never heard that but I like it. It eliminates the need to own a crack pipe, I feel too sketchy hitting one of them...

You can just burn it on a thumbtack and cover it with a glass and suck it up with a straw.
My favorite way is to dab some on the end of a cigarette with the ashes blown off of it and hold the cigarette infront of your face and slowly inhale the oil. MMMM oil.
I also smoke weed with kief or oil ontop which is nice too
OR.. you can put oil all over a joint which is basically the same thing, I go crazy and get too fucked up.

it doesn't cost a lot when you get beer caps full for $20.
When you can't smoke it any other way, it works. it's not my prefered method but it's a method.

if you're a smoker, or at least have some access to some ash, just put a little ash or a small plug of tobacco in your pipe and drip the oil on top of that.
Another method is just to grab a very small stone, use it like a glass screen, and drip the oil on that. It will hold the oil and let you suck the smoke through the pipe without the oil dripping down into your pipe.
Personally im a big fan of the hot knife method, so i'll second that idea.

The best way to smoke oil i think is to take an empty water bottle ... just make a hole to is side .. enough big to enter the fire of a cigar et.
Th hen take a needle and a little quantity of oil on it... Put the bottle upside down and slide the needle on the fire of the cigar et and quickly enter it in the hole you made in your bottle.
You'll see that cigarette smoke go up and the oi ld smoke go down in the bottle... Just inhale the pure white smoke.
