True, however I view killing an animal for no reason at all as the same thing as killing a human for no reason. The reason butchering and hunting is ok is because it fills a need, same with euthanasia in pounds.
And when killed it should be as humane as possible.

im with you on this. Everything happens. There is as much hope in stopping that kind of behavior as there is on stopping the war on terror. But because it was video taped for others to see it becomes a shame. it's not a shame that far worse things happen every day in every country of the world, it's just not video taped. I tend to think that everything that can happen to a cat or puppy (or anything), has already happened before. what about those gif's though....

Just because some people get away with it doesn't mean we shouldn't try to punish those that get caught.
I'd happily get physical with anyone who is abusive to animals (in fact I have choked my best friend for punching his tiny ass dog right in front of me and told him if he ever did it again and I saw it that I'd kill him).
Also, if we want to continue said discussing I advise a separate thread being made. Because we are doing a major derail right here.

I value a dogs life over a human's if that human is abusing a dog for no reason at all.
Anyone who wouldn't defend an animal against an abusive human is worth less than dirt in my opinion. That's just common sense. Anyone who would abuse an animal should realize what they are doing is wrong.
Just being a human doesn't make us more important than other animals. We are just animals that have a higher intelligence than others, and as such should recognize that the only time killing another animal is OK is when it is out of necessity. I mean in a choice of saving a human's or save a dog's life I would choose the human every time, but I won't respect any animal that kills outside of necessity.
I mean if you find me a wild animal that just randomly attacks another outside of a perceived necessity, I will be cool with killing that wild animal too. I'm also less likely to give said wild animal a second chance like I did with my friend.
And no that is no like PETA, PETA fucks with people who kill animals out of necessity (like lab research, hunting, or butchering. All of which are things I'm OK with).
That may be a rant, but if you really think what I did is wrong I kind of value your opinion a lot less than before that comment.
(I should also probably mention the fact that he abused this dog often, including one instance that he decided it was a cool idea to inform that his dog could really cover a lot of distance when punted. Which broke the dogs leg and caused it's leg to swell up to the size of a softball, also the only reason he punched the dog at the time I choked him was because the dog was barking. And it was barking because it was afraid of him that dog shivered whenever he approached it).
The events of him fucking with that dog are in fact a large reason I think about it how I do now. I treat my cats and dogs as if they are family.

Yes I know Tang. I viewed them when I was about 13 years old and to this day they are the only videos I have watched that actually made me nauseous. I thought when they tap the monkey on the head until it cracks open was a pretty disturbing/eye opening experience. Had him caged in the middle of the table with just his head exposed for a beating...
