BANG! BANG! at the door again.  Friend A then tells me to get into the bathroom, which was locked from the inside, so I go into the closet.  At this time about 90 seconds have passed since the first knock.  For some reason in all this time we failed to put anything away other then the actual marijuana.  The person at the door then kicked it for all I know, because those next knocks were extremely loud.  Friend B then answers the door, to six police officers.

"Hello there son, may I come in?", says the officer.  He then enters without actual consent.  He asks if there are any other people in the room.

"Why hello there officer", I say.  Popping out of the closet, which I assume startled him, because he took a step back and placed his hand on his pistol.  He had us all sit down, and get out our IDs.  He started reading out our names into his radio in that code bullshit (C = Charlie D = Delta A = Alpha kind of shit for every letter in our name) which kind of tripped me out.  About two minutes into this I got bored and started to read the USA Today.

He then asked us if we knew why he was here.

"The music was too loud?", replies friend C.

"No, it wasn't the music, there is an odor of marijuana billowing down the hall, and now that I am in here, I think I know where it is coming from", says the officer.  "You wouldn't happen to have any drugs in here would you?"  It was at this point that I noticed the pipe was sitting on the desk.  I try and make eye contact with friend B, who was sitting at the desk, to do something about it, which worked quite well, and he covered it with a jacket.

"No, we do not", says friend A.

The officer then points at me.  "You look extremely high", then points to friend A, "you also look very high.  Would you consent to a search to verify that there is nothing illegal in this room?"

"Absolutely not", says friend C.  When the officer asks why, he says something along the lines of the fact that he pays for privacy and does not want the cop going through his things.  Friend A then gets up and goes to the trashcan and grabs a few beer bottles, saying we had a few beers before the Georgia game today.

"I'm not here for the beers, now you not consenting to the search leads me to believe that there are illegal items in here, and I will be documenting this and letting your RA know.  What were you doing in the closet?", he says looking at me.

"I feel safe in the closet, the peep hole was covered when I went to check and you did not identify yourself.  I'm not about to open the door at 2 AM to a room that isn't mine when I don't know who is behind it."  He then looks at the giant marijuana leaf clock on the wall and Bob Marley poster smoking a blunt.

"You know that is paraphernalia?", he says.

"Without any illegal substances, I don't think so officer", I respond.

"Drugs will catch up with you, and it is a felony to posses marijuana in Arizona, get the drugs out of the room and quit what you are doing.", said the officer.  He then told us to have a good night.

All and all the cop was extremely chill.  He must have been blind to not see the pipe, which I'm assuming he did.  Plus the fact that we showed him the beer, and the empty handle sitting next to the trash, it could have gone much worse.

Cliffs
-smoked marijuana in dorm
-cops come in
-asks for consent, which is refused
-sees empty beer bottles/handle
-tells us to quit it and get the drugs out of room
-escape with my life.
