because its relatively easy to grow.most people would just smoke homegrown if there was a tax

if it were legal and regulated like cigarettes it should cost no more than ~ $2 a gram, it would probably be sold by the O
if it were regulated like alcohol I could see it costing as much as 10 a gram
just like alcohol and tobacco it can be home made but virtually NOBODY does it because people are fucking lazy. Personally I would grow my own but I also want to grow my own tobacco and thats dirt cheap

If it were legal, I would have a whole closet full of plants. I wouldn't buy it.
However, I would spend money on various seeds, so the government could get it's cut there.

Not only that, the government could make it illegal to grow without first paying a tax for each plant. Sure it's not perfect, but they could fine whoever doesn't pay for it.

yea. ive seen baggies with california tax paid things.
haha ive also gotten a baggie with 3 rolls in it. and it was seal with a california tax paid sticker. which struck me as odd...

i think that people would still buy government grown marijuana, just beacause it would be more potent than the average growers bud. And they could just tax that... and they'd also run drug dealers out of business so they would be making the money instead of them... But drug dealers still put money into the economy because alot of drug dealers are normal people... but they sell drugs instead of working for someone. Either way they'd profit...

well some states have laws on the books to tax illegal drugs. these laws are put in place mainly to increase charges.

That's just dumb. Tobacco can be grown easily as well but you don't see people growing it much for personal use because they'd rather go to the store. The same would happen if weed was legal I reckon.
