idk how anyone can say pink floyd sucks. your taste in music may differ but within the band exists some of the most talented and creative musicians ever.

Different tastes I guess. I consider Gilmour to be my favorite guitarist. His solos put me in places I didn't know exist.

Well, they don't completely suck, but like Tang said: They're completely mediocre. Anyone who thinks those musicians are talented either wasn't listening, or doesn't understand talent.
I like some of their early stuff when Syd was with the band. And some of the later stuff is listenable. Mostly it just disgusts me how Roger Water's & the band capitalized on driving their friend insane. If you listen to interviews with the band, they pretty much all acknowledge their responsibility in Syd's melt-down... but then they wrote a bunch of songs based on it for the $$$. Pretty sick, IME.

Different strokes, I consider all the members of Floyd to be quite talented, Rick Wright especially.
Who would you consider to be a great musical talent if Floyd isn't up to par?

you should see the making of DSOTM. it has studio shots of them making the music, its quite remarkable

Robert Fripp, Bill Bruford, Phil Lesh, Rick Wakeman, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton (though he often wasted his talent), Aynsley Dunbar, Mike Bloomfield, Joe Walsh, Chris Squire, Randy Rhoads, etc.
Gilmour and Wright were marginally talented.
