Only flush on a regular basis if you have very hard water (to avoid calcium buildup) or if your house has a water softener (to avoid saline toxicity). Otherwise you could be flushing precious nutrients away from our plants.

I agree, a flush is necessary before harvest but I usually wait until 7-10 days before harvest not 14-17. :wink:

If I'm using a clearing solution I have waited up to 5 days before harvest.

Yup, feed until about a week, week and a half, before harvest. After you flush them well, continue to water until 2-3 days before harvest, you want the pots to be just starting to dry out when you chop them. I like to use distilled water for flushing and watering up to the last as it has no dissolved minerals or salts to counteract the flushing and starving.

to really ripen i'd say you may need a little more than 2.5 weeks until harvest.

I might have to second that. If you really want to know for sure, go to radioshack and buy a jewelers loop. Its a hand held 30x microscope with an led in it. You can tell the peak time to harvest by the color of the trichomes.

Looking awesome, and how do you know when it's time to flush?

I was wondering because my plant is near the flushing stage, and I don't know when to start.
