I doubt very many people have taken different seeds from the same batch and tested germinating them at different temperatures to see how they respond. I really don't doubt the capability of seeds to germinate at low temperatures, but the idea that there would be no difference between a much lower temperature and a much more optimal one doesn't make a lot of sense.
What pudding? Have you germinated at different temperatures with seeds from the same batch? If you haven't, I don't really see what all the whacky shit has anything to do with what was being discussed.
I didn't say you needed any of those things, but the statement that there could be no difference between the temperatures is obviously not true, considering that chemical reactions occur differently at different temperatures. I've never said that it wouldn't work, or that the difference would be that much, but I'm simply stating the obvious.
