How long would this guy need to wait for symptoms before he could hope to have lucked out?

Pretty much sums it up.
Something serious like AIDs or Hepatitis could show up within a few days, or it could be several months. Something less serious like Herpes could be a year or two. Gonorrhea is something that shows up within days of contact.
