some help?
    #110938 - 08/18/08 02:43 PM (16 years, 4 months ago)

Whats up with these plants? The ones I am concerned with are the large ones which are droopy and pale compared to the smaller ones. They also have have very red stems, while the small ones do not.

SWIM has been feeding them regularly 20-20-20, and his very inexpert opinion he suspects that these guys might be getting either:

too much fertilizer,

or from

Quote:

K - POTASSIUM (K)

Affected plants are usually tallest and appear to be most vigorous. Necrotic spots form on lower leaves. Red stems. Leaves appear pale or yellow. Add chemical fertilizer containing K.

Now this is sort of a second question, but I can see how both questions could be answered at once.

SWIM can see that buds are starting to form, having already sexed them, and as the problem seems to be something to do with nutrients, what kind of fertilizer(s) should I get? (for bud growth as well) The miricle grow equivelent would be nice, to keep things simple.

Sorry for the general vagueness of these pictures and questions, would really appreciate any help though. Digging through the massive grow guides is an alternative, and this does not gel so well with the minimalism of SWIMs first grow.

Thanks

To me it looks like they're just getting baked in the sun.. but that doesn't explain why the rest of the plants are looking healthy. it might be something in the soil you have, or the plants nearby might be stealing the nutrition you're feeding it. There aren't any evil weeds or any plants that aren't dope, are there?

try watering with plain water for awhile and see what they do.

"Prohibition will work great injury to the cause of temperance. It is a species of intemperance within itself, for it goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation, and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes. A Prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded." - Abraham Lincoln
