The PNW Sasquatch are obviously much more intelligent. Anything that feeds on tree octopus has to have some wits about it to catch a meal, right?

Actually, it's not surprising that nobody's found a body, bodies decompose quickly. Take bears- ever seen a bear in the wild that's died of natural causes? Or a dead eagle?

you don't find many carcasses in the wild because other predators usually get to them before a human will find them.
