I liked Meph runs way back when you could get worthwhile loot without botting.

Yeah I didn't bot until a year into playing. You could get unique rings commonly from chests and stuff in Mephs layer then (97 maybe 98) Heh.
Meph was also a lot harder to kill then.
But it was pretty awesome getting windforce or eaglehorns off meph in the old days when you could get 14-20 runes for the eaglehorn and 30-40 for the windforce. I forgot what the drop rates were like but if you're running 15-30 computers with 2 bots each you're going to get a couple a day.
Other than the elites zons were the common pk goodness if you had eagle horn or windforce you could destroy most chumps until 1.10 gearing other characters elitely costed sooo much much more... probably the most common hardcore class too, getting a windforce on hardcore was pretty godly, I know people in my clan would cough up mad hard earned dollars for them.
My hobby in highschool was buying 1.4ghz athlon thunder birds and setting them up to play diablo2 for me.
I think I took that game far too seriously.

You use a strat guide? That was the only way i could get 100% completion. Hmm, it seems to be a common thing to neglect food while playing RPG's. I guess it could be the reason i weigh 60 lbs more now then i did then

Wait, doesn't the whole first disc take place in Midgard? The game doesn't really take off until you get out into the world.
