Do it on LSD in the 1960's and the process of it becoming illegal and the events that lead up to it. I did that a paper on that before, it was pretty bad ass.

the history of drug use and radical social movements ( civil rights and lsd love in 60's. cocaine and disco scene. MDMA pills and rave scene in early 90's)
or you can discuss how drugs are used in scientific research for social and mental disorders i.e PTSD and end of life syndrome for mortally ill individuals. (they use lsd and MDMA)
these are just some thoughts. i cant load the topic gif because my comps slow but i find these interesting
