Started the day with a hippy speedball as usual. Something great about being jacked on the bean and the green for the drive into work.

Meh, you gotta get back into the mind state you were in whilst studying, eg: stoned.
Years ago when I first got into high school, I was finally able to sneak off campus and get baked @ lunch. I told myself if it affected my grades in the last half the day, I'd back off. Immediately after lunch was Algebra I-II, for which I showed up stoned outta my ass every day from the first. A week or two later, the first test came along, I got 97%. And thus began the realization that pot would not fuck up my studies, only my laziness as always.

My band played last night, so of course I rolled into work an hour late, hungover and already stoned.

We're somewhere in between punk and metal. Our demo is almost done, let me dig up one of the proof tracks that sounds decent and i'll post it.

This one sounds pretty close, kick drum level is too low, levels are still off. There's one or two more I could post if you're diggin it.

The other three had been playing together for about 6 months when I met them at a Halloween party they played. I jammed with them after their set and joined the following week.
Once this demo is done, we're going to rework our sound, get our songs over the 3 minute mark, go a little more progressive with it.
Here's another. I'm not to fond of the Iron Maiden-sounding tripled guitars in the one part, but that's what I get for sending our lead guitarist into the studio with no supervision.

Was supposed to hippyflip this weekend, but it all fell through. Wound up going out and taking some awesome pictures of a japanese garden and the raging snow melt at the falls.

I dunno, was a fucking beautiful weekend for the PNW. Maybe a bit of both would've been best.

It is, the garden is huge. I dunno about tripping there, a little too crowded for that usually, but there's some awesome spots to hide out and burn one.
I also went to the falls yesterday to catch the snow melt raging. They've got all the rivers in this area closed down because of our late spring, and I wanted to see how it looked in the mountains.
I took this one about 2 years ago:

And this one yesterday from the same vantage point:

Half of that's already done. That area is great for mushroom hunting, even saw some oysters yesterday....WAY out of season.
Wouldn't surprise me to find wild patches of greens out there as well.
