Low Stress Training Low stress training or LST is a form of training your plants in a manner which requires virtually no recovery time. The basic idea behind this technique is that as you tie down the top growing tip, growth is encouraged on the other growing tips and you get more colas on your plant. Instead of letting the plant grow vertically, receiving an uneven amount of light, you spread it out horizontally throughout all available space, and spreading the light evenly over the whole plant.
Now, this being an introduction to LST and the fact that I am feeling lazy at the moment, I've decided against giving a detailed explanation of how to tie your plant and instead I'll post a picture.
Hopefully, the picture answers some of the questions you had. You basically keep tying down the tips as they grow, spreading horizontally across the pot. Be creative, you can use shoelaces, wires, or anything else to keep the tips down. Have fun.
